Wendell Miller
Wendell Miller has been the Administrative Program Manager of Neurological Services focusing on program development and marketing. Wendell manages three neurological rehabilitation programs for Paragon Management in Nassau (Emerge), Suffolk
(Quantum) and Westchester (North Westchester) county.
Wendell has over 14 years’ experience working with clients from a wide array of backgrounds. He specializes in solution focused therapy for his clients in individual counseling, couples counseling, relationship counseling, depression, anxiety, addiction/substance misuse, trauma, anger management, family support and LGBTQ+ related therapies.
Wendell has a Master’s degree in Social Work from Stony Brook University, a Bachelor’s degree in Social Welfare from Empire State College, and is recognized as a Certified Brain Injury Specialist Trainer (CBIST) through the Academy of Brian Injury.
Objectives:
- Build awareness and explore the impact on caregiver burnout
- Determine the warning signs of caregiver burnout
- Problem solving and creating goals for how to maintain wellness despite institutional challenges
NASW-NYS is recognized by the New York State Education Department’s State Board for Mental Health Practitioners as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers (Provider ID #0014), licensed mental health counselors (Provider ID #MHC-0053), and licensed marriage and family therapists (Provider ID #MFT-0037), and licensed psychologists (Provider ID #PSY-0088).

Quantum’s Neurological Rehabilitation Program is a sub-acute level of care in Middle Island NY with 20 dedicated beds and a length of stay up to 3 months. All patients admitted to the program receive Individualized skilled Occupational, Physical, and Speech Therapy offered up to 7 days a week based on your individual needs and goals up to 3 hours a day. This program is designed to treat adults with CVAs, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, Parkinson’s disease and other neurological illnesses resulting in residual deficits and disability.
